REGI-project has been running for half a year! It is time to submit our first partner reports and move on and to expand the range of our activities. During this spring new group activities for Estonian migrants and their families in Finland and Estonia will begin. In Finland the project organizes group activities for Estonians living in Finland. In Estonia, the main target group for activities are mothers and children living in Estonia while the father is working in Finland. Also trainings for professionals and volunteers working with Estonian migrants and their families are already in the making. Studies on needs of Estonian migrants and their families and on how to reach them in Finland and Estonia were executed in 2015 and the articles on findings are ready now! Below you can find the English versions of the articles written by Tallinn University Rakvere College and Turku University of Applied Sciences. REGI is also glad to have the opportunity to collaborate with another project related to the Estonian migrants. Inequalities in Motion: Transnational Families in Estonia and Finland -project is coordinated by University of Eastern Finland and funded by Koneen säätiö. The project will explore processes of inequality that occur in the context of migration and commuting between Estonia and Finland.
